This was a special wedding for us as it was a family wedding and that meant we could be involved in the day, and not just for the night-do.
With family coming from all over the country – in fact some even travelled from around the World to share the great day. It was great to be able to provide photo booth fun for cousin Mandy’s wedding and we thought we’d go all out and took the Booth & the Party Snapper. This meant we could reprint photos for the family members, email, tweet & facebook the photos on the day.
The venue was The Stables based in the grounds of Doncaster College in picturesque High Melton. The Stables is set within the Georgian splendour of an 18th century, 126-acre manor estate, once owned by the Dean of York, John Fountayne, who was lord of the Manor from 1739-1802 – Definitely a fitting venue for a wedding.
After checking with the venue beforehand we were able to arrive early so we could set up the booth well before the wedding began, so we could attend the wedding ourselves. As the guests were gathering in the bar area pre-wedding we showed a few people how to use the booth and started filling the guest book with photos. As we had the Party Snapper with us as well, we linked it to the photo booth which meant guests could print extra copies and upload photos onto Twitter & Facebook quick and easily.
The wedding ceremony took place in the drawing room of the Old Hall, now named Melton Wood, under a handsome eight foot Italian marble fireplace, a reminder of the opulence of time gone by – It was a certainly a beautiful and memorable room to get married in. After the ceremony the wedding party went outside for photos using the impressive autumnal grounds as a backdrop. The bride looked stunning, and the bridesmaids amazing, all of them had lovely flower bouquets from Pick of the Crop at Mexborough.
We went back into the bar area which overlooked the courtyard and mingled with the other guest,, although after numerous requests we opened the booth up once more for a few pre-dinner photos too!
The wedding breakfast was delicious, we ate in the restaurant which is capable of seating up to 85 guests, the tables and chairs were decorated by Beautiful Balloons from Snaith which complimented the table settings beautifully. Once the speeches were done and the cake cut we adjourned to the bar and the Photo Boothing could really get started!
It was lovely to have so many of our family members there with us and we got some truly memorable and hilarious photos in the booth with parents, siblings, aunties, uncles, and cousins. To keep our energy levels up we enjoyed some (lots) sweets from the Candy Cart supplied by Debbie of Chic Sweets.
The evening ended with lots of dancing to some excellent music from the in house DJ.
Everyone loved the booth, as always, and the guest book was simply overflowing with memories for cousin Mandy by the end of the night.
We’ll hopefully visit The Stables again soon, as it was such a fantastic venue with lovely staff.
Congratulations once again Mandy, all the very best for the future!
